Deanna and Joe was a fun couple to photographed. Very spontaneous and always game for anything. The shoot took place at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina and the location is one of our favorite place to shoot. Can’t wait for the actual wedding. Stay tuned.

Melanie & Gunner – Wedding

Clouds had already gathered and heavy with moisture when we got to the Marshall House. Rain seemed inevitable. The outdoor ceremony was to take place at the Oglethorpe Square one block away so naturally, there was anxiety in the air. When it came time for photos, the inevitable happened. We had no choice but to switch to plan B. It turned out to be just as fun but suddenly the world took a quarter turn and the sun peer through as the clouds parted. The photo god just gave us a wink and a rainbow danced across the sky. Well, there were no rainbow but the rain did stopped and the light was absolutely gorgeous. Elizabeth & Evan – Wedding

We’ve been anticipating Elizabeth’s wedding ever since we photographed her bridal portrait a month ago. The big day finally came and it was quite an event. To start, the weather was simply gorgeous. A perfect spring wedding with mild temperature complimented by azaleas blooming near by. The ceremony was held at Trinity Methodist Church with reception at the Telfair Academy. We had a great time at the wedding and both Elizabeth and Evan were a dream to photograph. As we’ve mentioned in our previous blog, its not possible to take a bad picture of Elizabeth. Now we can add Evan to the list.

Elizabeth Chappell – Bridal Portraits

Its not possible to take a bad picture of Elizabeth but that’s not even the best part. She is absolutely a dream to work with and will brave every crazy idea we dished out. To top it all off, we had the support of an amazing crew (see bottom last image) that made it so much fun. The camera simply loves her.

Thaipusam Festival – Malaysia

Thaipusam is an important festival observed by the Hindus of southern India during the Tamil month of Thai (January – February). Outside of India, it is celebrated mainly by the Tamil speaking community settled in Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka and elsewhere around the world. While in Malaysia, I had the opportunity to make a few snap shots of the festival.

Megan & John – Wedding Part 2

As some may known, Megan and John’s wedding was postponed due to an auto accident back in July, 2010. Despite the injuries, they went ahead with a small intimate ceremony at Megan’s dad’s home. Five months later, fully recovered and ready to renew of their vows, the couple, together with Sebrell at Sebrell Smith Designer Events pull out all the stops. The wedding was a spectacular event. Savannah & Joseph – Wedding

When we first met Savannah and Joseph, immediately we can tell they are crazy about each other. We’ve been waiting for their big day ever since. The wedding took place at The Ford Plantation in Richmond Hill, Georgia and although the setting was formal, the atmosphere of a fun wedding filled the air. It was raining the night before and dark clouds were still lingering on when we had our morning coffee. We were anxiously waiting for the sky to clear but on the bright side, the air was crisp and cool. The clouds created an over cast the seems to softened the light. It seems the photo gods just gave us a wink… not too bad after all.

Melanie and John were a lovely couple. They paid great attention to details and are easy going. Always game with our suggestions and gave us wonderful input that made the shoot. We had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to shoot the wedding.

Viva Italia! – Part 1

“The silence is deafening.” Always loved that saying and perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to use it … or not. October has been a busy month and on top of it, we’ve also been traveling so our blog is usually the first to be neglected. The long silence is due to our recent trip to Italy and we were traveling with a 4 year old and a 4 month old girls so the trip requires months of precision planning and well rehearsed military maneuvers. Even with all that in placed, it was still nerve wracking simply because we’re traveling with a 4 month old baby. Not quite sure what to expect. The flight to Italy itself took 9 hours and that does not include connecting in Detroit. Though they came back with minor battle scars (mosquito bites), I’m proud to say they survived Italy.
